The new Pfizer facilities in Thessaloniki were inaugurated by Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the CEO of Pfizer, Albert Bourla.

The two addressed the opening ceremony in detail about Pfizer’s new digital innovation center in the co-capital.

Bourla: Pfizer’s investment in Thessaloniki will bring more than 650 million euros

“A few days ago, Jeffrey Payat stressed that Thessaloniki’s reputation is changing dramatically and Pfizer has contributed to this change with the investment we are launching today,” said Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla.

Mr. Bourla said a big thank you for the cooperation and support, while emphasizing that these investment moves of Pfizer are in line with the country’s strategy.

“Pfizer is and will be present in this national effort. We must work together with integrity, transparency and goodwill. “Our first decision to create the digital innovation center started two years ago, while this year we expanded our interest and brought the digital innovation center,” said Mr. Bourla.

The CEO of Pfizer added that “our investment in the coming years will bring to Thessaloniki more than 650 million Euros or 0.4% of the city’s GDP each year”.

In his own greeting, the Prime Minister, Konstantinos Mitsotakis, spoke with the warmest words about Mr. Bourla, emphasizing that the CEO of Pfizer “returns home and gives his own mark as today we inaugurate two very important centers where more than 700 employees of high standards in many specialties “.

Mitsotakis: The rebrain is becoming a reality at Pfizer

The Prime Minister stated that one of the main reasons that Pfizer chose to come to Thessaloniki is the city’s potential.
